Description

Circa 1860. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical rectangular-plan villa with single storey service wing to rear. Squared and snecked rubble; droved and coursed ashlar to W elevation with lightly stugged dressings. Base, cill and blocking courses; eaves cornice.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central pilastered doorway with carved consoles to cornice; panelled door; plate glass fanlight; single window above and in remaining bays. Later single storey garage adjoining to outer left.

N ELEVATION: blank.

E (REAR) ELEVATION: piend-roofed service wing to left of centre; central stair window with margin panes at 1st floor to centre.

4-pain sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; lead flashing; 2 shouldered and corniced wallhead stacks; tall moulded and tapering cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1990.

High coped mutual and boundary walls; 2 square section gatepiers with chamfered angles and corniced coping at carriage entrance to left: central pedestrian gatway with continuous stone overthrow to Findhorn Place.
