Description

Circa 1877. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan villa. Sandstone rubble, with coursed ashlar W (entrance) elevation and dressings. Base course; quoin strips; architraved windows with bracketed cills; modillioned cornice.

W (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: deep-set panelled door at centre; plate glass fanlight; doorpiece with moulded surround, carved consoles, and broken pediment; window above.

Full-height canted window flanking to left with pilaster mullions at ground floor, shouldered architraves at 1st floor with fillet detail; dividing cornice; tripartite in bay flanking centre to right with consoled cornice; single 1st floor window.

N ELEVATION: modern forestair.

S ELEVATION: 2 windows at ground and 2 at 1st floor.

2-pane plate-glass sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; moulded eaves gutter.

INTERIOR: not seen 1990.

Modern detached garage to S.
