Description

Circa 1860. 2-storey, irregular-plan villa with service wing to rear and later recessed wing to W; subdivided. Squared and snecked sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Dividing course; overhanging eaves. S WHITEHOUSE TERRACE elevation: 3-bay with recessed wing to W. Full-height 4-light canted window swept at gablehead; square tablet set in gablehead. Single windows to both floors in remaining bays. 2-storey and attic recessed wing; gabletted dormer.

E ENTRANCE elevation: gabled porch.

6-pane sash and case windows. Grey-brown slate gabled roof; tall shouldered and corniced gablehead stacks with chamfered angles; moulded octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1991.

GATEPIERS PEDESTRIAN GATEWAY and BOUNDARY WALLS: corniced polygonal gatepiers. Slapping raised over pedestrian gateway to E of carriage entrance. High coped rubble boundary and mutual walls.
