Description

John Gordon, 1891/92. Villa with renaissance ornament. Bull-faced red ashlar, polished dressings, red-tiled roofs. 2 storeys, bowed outer bays, windows framed by pilasters, pediments of 1st floor aedicules break through eaves; entablature of columned (Ionic) open central porch continued to link with outer bows; slender mullions and transomes, low range to right contains lesser doorway, asymmetrical flank elevation. Low boundary wall to street yellow ashlar, red octagonal piers with rusticated bands.
