Description

W F MacGibbon for himself, circa 1887. Scots baronial.
Large 2-storey villa, wide front gable with 3-storey
turret with candlesnuffer roof set between tall stacks;
narrow left bay, red-tiled roof of canted ground floor
window linked to turret. Stugged and snecked ashlar
with polished dressings, some sculptured detail, windows
mainly transomed/mullioned and transomed; plate glass
glazing; broad-eaved slate roofs; recessed low ranges on
flanks.
Low boundary wall to street, plain gatepiers.
