John Gordon, 1895. Symmetrically composed Arts and
Crafts double villa. Built of red brick, some terra-
cotta detailing, red-tiled roofs. Twin-gabled 2-storey
and attic centre, each gable with 2-storey canted
window, wide basket-arched attic window in each gable-
head; main roof swept down either side to single storey
with 4 close-spaced attic windows contained below eaves,
door at foot flanked by single lights. Variety of window
types; timber mullions and transomes throughout, most
upper lights multi-paned. Bracketted eaves. Single
dormer to each flank elevation; tall, prominent brick
stacks. Modern garage abuts each flank.
Boundary wall to roadside also red brick and with
fireclay balusters; square gatepiers with elaborate
caps.
