Description

1885-6 school by J J Craig extended 1905 (dated) by building duplicate block alongside, blocks linked by recessed 3-storey Italianate tower. 2 storeys, and with regular bays to long street elevation; original glazing, band course between floors, bracketted deep cornice; recessed outer bays, symmetrical flank elevations with central entrance in blocked architrave, tall round-arched stair window over; slate roofs; main entrance in tower, porch with rusticated columns, aedicule over, and balustrade. Squared rubble, ashlar dressings and raised quoins.
