Description

J M Munro, 1882. 2-storey English Jacobean-style villa, stugged/ polished ashlar to S (garden) front and E (main entrance) front; other elevations harled. Symmetrical S front 3 bays, parapetted 2-storey canted windows in gabled outer bays, attic lights with dormer heads, skews with kneelers and finials; tripartite central with door, bipartite above, all shallow projecting with shaped gable over; E front repeats detailing, near symmetrical, gabled inner bay with Tudor-arched doorway with flanking shafts; sculptured detailing; stacks; slate roofs. 20th century L-plan wing to NE.
