Late 19th century. Level footbridge with 3 segmental arches over the mouth of the Polmadie Burn. Droved pink ashlar with four rectangular-sectioned terminal piers with moulded cornices and panels to outer flanks. Cutwaters. Cast iron parapets with plain horizontal rails.

Statement of Interest

A simple, elegant 3-arched footbridge with corniced terminal piers and cast iron parapet rails. The water is now channelled into two of the three arches. The bridge (not in use 2010) carries the footpath over the Polmadie Burn at the south side of Richmond Park, running parallel with the Rutherglen Road.
