Description

Mid 19th century, late 19th century addition to W. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical villa with classical details: later single bay added to left. Stugged, squared and coursed red and grey sandstone with ashlar dressings to S elevation; harled to side and rear elevations. Base course; raised margins; ashlar mullioned windows; pilastered quoins; lintel courses; cornice; parapet.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: slightly recessed columnar doorpiece to centre, entablature, stepped blocking course, 2-leaf boarded doors. Window above at 1st floor, tripartite windows to outer bays at ground and

1st floor. En suite addition to outer left with window at ground and 1st floor.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: blank gabled return.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: window at ground and 1st floor to outer left. Advanced 2-storey block to centre, window at ground and 1st floor to

E elevation. Slappings at ground to N elevation, curved forestair to 1st floor to right, iron balustrade, timber porch.

Mostly modern windows; some 12-pane and plate glass sash and case windows, coloured glass to window at 1st floor to S. Grey slate roof, piended to left, gabled to right; rendered corniced stacks with original cans. 2 slate-hung, timber, tripartite gabled dormers to S.
