Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay villa with classical details. Stugged and snecked cream sandstone with ashlar dressings. Base
course; broad string course between 1st and 2nd floors; moulded arrises, ashlar mullioned windows; overhanging bracketted eaves.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: advanced porch in re-entrant angle to centre, angle pilasters, entablature, bipartite mullioned and transomed window on return to left with lead-pane glazing, panelled door, glazed to upper panels. Window above at 1st floor. Bipartite window at ground and 1st floor to left. Advanced bay to outer right with full-height bow window (5 lights at ground and 1st floor) breaking eaves, shallow conical roof with decorative finial.
W (SIDE) ELEVATION: 2 windows at ground, single window at 1st floor.
E ELEVATION: 2 windows at 1st floor. Rectangular-plan conservatory abutting.
Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; corniced sandstone end stacks with moulded cans. Original rainwater goods.
Situated on the corner of Montrose Street and Adelaide Street Upper, now subdivided into 2 residences.
