Description

18th century with later alterations. 2-storey, 4-bay rectangular-plan asymmetrical building divided to form 2 dwellings, abutting Number 6 Wellington Street (listed separately) to right (W). Harled; cement rendered at rear. Cement window cills.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: bays arranged, 3-1. Deep-set, modern part-glazed door at ground in bay to centre; window at 1st floor above. Identical arrangement in bay to left. Window at each floor in bay to outer left. Window at each floor in bay to outer right.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: 2-bay. Window at ground in bay to left. Window at 1st floor in bay to right; gablehead stack above.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Purple slate roof; stone ridge; stone skews; harled, coped gablehead stacks to E and W; predominantly uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1998.

ANCILLARY BUILDING: single storey and attic, single bay, square-plan rubble garage (formerly cart shed and hay loft?) sited to rear (S) of main block. Modern garage door with boarded door flanking to S elevation; boarded hay loft door above. Grey slate roof; stone ridge; stone skews.

BOUNDARY WALLS: rubble walls with rubble cope to rectangular-plan garden to rear (S); boarded pedestrian gate to E.
