16th cent., altered 18th cent. and again c.1850. 3-storey,
4-window (later windows added); rubble and slate, painted
margins, crowstepped; Roman doric pilastered doorpiece.
Mutual lang rig wall with 56 has disappeared, rig shortened
at S end.
