Description

1612-1643 reconstructed 1764-7 to designs by John Gardner, wright; extended to W in same style, Robert Reid, architect 1828-30. 2-storey ashlar facade with pedimented bays, 1st floor niches; ground floor windows inserted 1890s, 16th century sculptures from St Mary's Chapel in S wall. Galleried Upper Hall with Roman doric fluted pine column coved ceiling; Senate Room remodelled 1904, Sir R Rowand Anderson, architect.
