Description

Post 1865. Single storey and attic, 3-bay, rectangular-plan cottage with lower 4th bay to left. Whinstone with sandstone margins and dressings; base course; overhanging eaves, trefoil-ended rafters on main elevation; exposed rafters on gable.

SW (MAIN) ELEVATION: door at centre, demi-barrel,leaded canopy porch on slender colonnettes, billetted cornice, paired brackets; flanking bowed windows, slate roof, bracketted eaves. Canted dormers breaking eaves to outer right and left, decorative filigree bargeboards, small triangular eyelet dormer at centre. Lower bay to outer left, tripartite window.

Blank gables. Rear jamb.

4-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, lead flashings. Low, coped ridge stacks.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: whinstone wall with harl-pointing. Ashlar square piers with battered base, pyramidal caps.
