Description

Attributed to Alexander Thomson; built c.1852. 2-storey 4-house terrace, cottage-style with 3-light pointed windows in deep-bracketted gable heads, in the manner of Seymour Lodge. Symmetrically-arranged as 2 + 2 cottages; original doors with margined glazing; paired, latticed stair lights; each house 2 bays at ground (2 houses nearest left/ east with unsympathetic replacement ground floor windows), single bay above; built of whin rubble with contrasting red ashlar detailing; 2 chimney stacks (of 3) rebuilt above haunches in brick; slate roofs; single storey range adjoins each gable. Plain, ashlar gatepiers, ashlar-coped rubble wall to roadway.
