Description

Dated 1842. Single storey, symmetrical, 5-bay Greek cross-plan hall with flat-roofed addition to rear. Stugged, snecked sandstone with droved margins and tails to openings; cills slightly advanced; quoins to angles; ashlar, dated clock recess to central bay.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: advanced, gabled bay to centre; window to ground; terminal die at apex above; boarded door with 3-light fanlight and flanking small opening in right return. Windows in both flanking bays.

12-pane timber sash and case windows; grey slate roof; ashlar coped stack to advanced section; ashlar coped skews; cast iron rainwater goods.

BOUNDARY WALLS, GATEPIERS AND RAILINGS: sandstone rubble with curved ashlar cope; chamfered, square-plan droved sandstone with truncated pyramidal copes; wrought-iron railings and (replacement) gates.
