Description

Early 19th century. Single storey, 3-bay house with later addition to rear. Paint-washed(?) ashlar, harled sides and rear, base course and raised cills, cornice and blocking course. Deep-set door with rectangular-plan fanlight, windows flanking. Blank side gables.

Timber sash and case windows with plate glass glazing. Ashlar skews, grey slates, gablehead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1994.

Low, coped boundary wall to front with coped square gatepiers, all rendered.

Statement of Interest

No 47 is evident on Wood's map, thus built before 1824. It is retained on the list despite the addition of awning boxes to front and substantial flat-roofed rear addition, for group value with more finely detailed Regent Street neighbours.
