Mid to later 19th century. Harl-pointed coursed red rubble sandstone beehive-shaped dome surmounting well; decorative wrought-iron gate to N.
Set on a natural spring, this well supplied water to the village of Scoulag during the 18th century - it is thought the beehive-like structure was a later addition. The village, now gone, originally surrounded the Shore Chapel (see separate list entry - Mausoleum and Graveyard in policies of Mount Stuart).
