Description

Mid to later 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay symmetrical plain classical rectangular-plan house with low single storey outbuilding projecting to right (N). Harled with plain cement margins to openings.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set architraved timber panelled door at ground in bay to centre with boot-scrape recess to left; window at 1st floor above. Boarded windows to ground with window at 1st floor above in bays flanking.

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: single storey outbuilding at ground offset to left of centre; attic window, offset to right of gable; gablehead stack above.

6-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof; stone ridge; 2 evenly disposed rooflights to E pitch; harled corniced gablehead stacks to N and S; uPVC gutters; cast-iron downpipes.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1997.

OUTBUILDING: harl-pointed rubble; boarded door to centre and to outer left; graded Caithness slate roof; stone ridge; cast-iron rainwater goods.

BOUNDARY WALL: rubble wall enclosing rectangular-plan garden on steeply rising ground to W (rear).
