Description

Circa 1920. Celtic Cross War Memorial. 3-stage; ashlar; octagonal plinth and shaft. Battered base course with deep plinth bearing bronze memorial plaque dated 1914-1919 and list of names to NW face; frieze inscribed "TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND TO THE UNDYING MEMORY OF THE MEN OF GLAMIS PARISH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR": reduced base to battered shaft giving way to Celtic Cross finial.

PLINTH: small circular plinth of flat-coped, rock-faced ashlar with 3 steps to NW.
