Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 4-bay public house terminating irregular terrace. Painted harl, contrasting margins.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: corniced doorpiece off-set to left of centre, rectangular fanlight, window off-set to right at 1st floor above. 2 bays to right and 1 bay to left symmetrical at ground and 1st floors, additional door to left at ground. Wallhead stack dividing bays. 2 canted dormers. Single bay, 3-storey wing to left under catslide; door at ground, 10-step stone flight and platt with decorative iron railings leading to entrance in return at 1st floor, window at 1st and 2nd floors.

W ELEVATION: adjoining 35 Wharf Street.

E ELEVATION: gable end; 2 windows and door at ground, window at 1st and attic storeys to centre.

N ELEVATION: lean-to addition to left at ground, pitched roof addition to right.

Timber sash and case windows, 4-pane and plate glass. Grey slate pitched roof, stone skews, skew putts. Brick gablehead stacks and shouldered wallhead stacks to centre at front.
