Earlier 19th century. Single storey and attic, 3-bay cottage closing short terrace to W, with gabled wallhead dormer and rounded slate-hung dormer windows. Whitewashed rubble with raised quoins.
SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set panelled timber door with plate glass fanlight to centre and windows in flanking bays; centre bay above with window in dominant stone gabled dormer, blind shield in tympanum and obelisk finial, flanking rounded slate-hung dormer windows.
4- and 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with cans and ashlar-coped skews.
Rounded dormer windows and wallhead gabled dormers are a distinctive local feature, but few unaltered examples remain. One such, at 25-27 Viewforth, has a nepus gable; and another, at Ballindalloch, Links Road, is listed separately.
