Probably late 18th century. Single segmentally-arched bridge. Squared rubble with ashlar dressings. Stepped voussoirs and keystone below rendered band course, squared rubble spandrels and further band course giving way to parapet of large ashlar blocks, moulded cornice and shaped cope. Later infill under arch as dam shielding later road.
Nearby Balmuto Tower (listed category B) dates from the 15th century but with many alterations, including much work in 1797 which may have included the bridge and nearby East Lodge (now West Balbardie Lodge). The bridge is now circumvented by a later road.
