Later 18th century. Single storey, 6-bay rectangular-plan cottage. Coursed tooled yellow sandstone. Rubble base course, ventilation bricks above; tooled long and short quoins.
NE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: 6-bay: flagstone step, timber panelled door (3rd bay from left) off centre, replacement 15-pane glazed interior door; 2 square windows to left flank, 3 smaller square windows to right flank (slightly irregular heights), flush cills and margins, heavy lintels; stone skews, coursed ashlar stack to each gable; new ventilation cans, small chimney to ridge off centre right.
SE ELEVATION: blank gable adjoining rubble garden wall.
SW (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen, 2000.
NW ELEVATION: blank gable end.
4-pane timber sash and case windows. Pantiled roof and ridge tiles. Concealed guttering to eaves, metal downpipe to left of door.
INTERIOR: not seen, 2000.
Good example of a traditional stone cottage. Replacement pantile roof in place of original thatch. Sympathetically modernised and re-pointed, it retains its traditional character.
