1759; later alterations. Single arch bridge; sandstone voussoirs and abutments; coped parapet; plain ashlar piers with small caps.
This bridge replaced a ford and provided a new exit from the town centre out towards the Irvine Valley. It underwent considerable restoration in the 1970s.
