Description

1875. Single storey, 6-bay cottage, sited on falling ground. Squared and coursed granite, block and sneck to gables, base course.

SE elevation: door in bay to left of centre with bracketed, gabled canopy, boarded door and 3-pane fanlight, closely flanked by windows to left. 3 windows in bays to right.

NW elevation: against bank. Small gabled addition, circa 1900, projecting at centre, timber-mullioned bipartite window to left and blank to right.

Blank gable ends.

12-pane sash and case windows. Gablehead stacks. Grey slates and ashlar coped skews.

Statement of Interest

Simple traditional cottage in estate livery to NW of south garden and Queen Mary's garden and of group value with these, greenhouses, toolshed and fountain.
