K6 type telephone box to the standard design of Giles Gilbert Scott. Designed introduced by GPO in 1936. This example dates from the reign of Elizabeth II, as signified by the slotted embossed crowns.
Square kiosk of cast-iron construction with timber door. Domed roof with four lunettes containing embossed crowns over lettered opals and ventilation slits. Raised surround with marginal bars to horizontal glazing. Blank rear, moulded plinth.
