Early/midC18, and then re-windowed in c1800, there are some changes to the rear elevation.
Red brick with floor bands, Welsh slate roof. Double depth plan with central entry. Three storeys, five windows set almost flush with the wall, 6 over 6 pane sashes under segmental arches, 3 over 6 on the upper floor. Central 6-panel door with transom light and hood supported on brackets. Plain roof with narrow stacks on both gables.
Rear elevation has ranges of sashes as above, but much of it is obscured by a large Nissen type extension.
Interior not seen, but the building has been converted into club premises on the ground floor and flats above.
Included for its special architectural interest as an C18 house of definite character near Monmouth town centre.
