History

An C18 house, part of a longer range with number 17.

Exterior

A 2-storey 2-window house of whitened pebble-dashed front, black-painted smooth-rendered surrounds, steep slate roof and shared brick stack. Openings have pedimented surrounds in the lower storey. The entrance on the L has a cambered boarded door. All windows are small-pane replacements in earlier openings. On the R is a small-pane cross window. The 1st floor has a small 2-light window to the L and larger 2-light window to the R.

Reasons for Listing

Listed, notwithstanding window replacement, as one of a pair of rare-surviving pre-C19 houses near the town centre, and for group value within the historical townscape.
