History

Lychgate of uncertain date; the roof timbers appear to be C16 similar to those in church but are reused.

Exterior

Lychgate, rubble stone with broad full-height opening both ends and slate gabled roof. The roof is carried down lower on left side of churchyard front with low door and slab lintel. Broad and tall mid C19 wooden gate with mid-rail and dog-bars at NW end. Roof is supported by three oak collar-beam trusses, the centre one arch-braced. Double purlins. All the timbers are reused, possibly originally C16.

Reasons for Listing

Included as a lychgate with C16 timbers, possibly reused, of group value with the church.
