An early C19 house shown on the 1829 town plan.
A 2½-storey 3-window house of whitened pebble dashed walls, slate roof, brick stack to the R and pebble-dashed stack to the L. The central entrance has a fielded-panel door and 4-pane overlight, in a wooden doorcase with fluted pilasters, panelled entablature and deep moulded cornice. Windows have smooth-rendered architraves, and are 16-pane hornless sashes in the lower storey, 12-pane horned sashes R and L in the upper storey and a similar hornless sash window in the centre. The roof has a raised slate-hung attic storey with 3 replacement windows. On the L side is a Victorian letterbox in a smooth-rendered surround, and a cast iron street sign.
The rear has a small central stair window, to the R of which are a 16-pane horned sash window in the lower storey and a 9-pane horned sash window above. On the L side is a 1-storey wing, of whitened rubble stone and slate roof, skylight and brick stack to the L. It has a glazed door with replacement window to the L and inserted garage doors at the L end.
Not inspected.
Listed for its special architectural interest as a house retaining early C19 character and detail, and for its contribution to the historical integrity of Wexham Street and Church Street.
