Early C19 terraced house. The W side of Northgate Street, formerly Dark Lane is marked as built up on the 1857 Orielton sale map and the c. 1865 town map. The E side was widened in the late C19. Houses adjoining No 7 to S were demolished in the mid C20. Disused and in poor condition 2004.
House, formerly in terraced row, now attached on N side only. Painted stucco with slate roof and brick end stacks. Three storeys, double-fronted with centre doorway. On ground floor, modern door flanked to each side by a sash window (all three boarded over 2004). Two first floor long hornless 12-pane sashes, two second floor square 6-pane sashes. Painted sills.
Not available for inspection.
Included as a late Georgian house in a prominent position on the approach to Main Street.
