History

Early C18, said to be ca. 1720, and at some time before 1822 it was a soapworks.

Exterior

2-storey, 3-window roughcast front. Steep slate roof, dentil eaves and rubble end chimney stack with weathercoursing. 12-pane sash windows to 1st floor; shallow 4-pane horned sashes below. Offset entrance to ground floor with broad bracket hood, reeded pilasters, panelled reveals and 6-panelled door. Whitewashed rubble gable ends to right with dripmould over attic window.

Rubble garden revetment wall to right retaining railings. Said to retain original roof construction and internal framed partitions.
