Late C18/early C19.
Three storey, three window public house; local brick front (painted), slate roof, rectangular end chimneys in red brick; gable end to R rendered. Second floor has three broadly proportioned windows, set at eaves; six-pane hornless sash glazing, heavy stone sills. On first floor, three twelve-pane sash windows with heavy stone sills, central window has horned sash (shown as dummy in old photos), outer windows hornless. On ground floor, central square-headed doorway; doorcase with cornice and panelled returns; six-panelled door, rectangular overlight. To each side of doorway, twelve-paned hornless sash window.
