History

House, built in the early C19 (shown on the Tithe Map of 1838).

Exterior

Brick with slate roof. Two-storeys, 2-window range with central entrance, and service wing to rear. Six-panelled door in plain architrave flanked on each floor by 20-pane sash windows with flat arched stone head. End wall stacks, with heavily corbelled caps.

Reasons for Listing

A good example of the kind of substantial middle-class house which was a characteristic of Overton’s development in the early C19, indicating its prosperity at that time.
