History

Pump, dated 1887 and erected to commemorate the Jubilee of Queen Victoria.

Exterior

Ashlar. Chamfered and pedimented square section stone column on chamfered plinth, surmounted by ball finial. Pump mechanism in wooden case against rear face, with basin served by small lead spout projecting from the front. Inscribed with initials VR and the date in the front face, and with foliate low-relief in the pediment.

Reasons for Listing

A good example of a pump, surviving in working order.
