The formal garden was laid out to designs of Nesfield when he remodelled the house in 1872-5. The fountain was probably an original component of the scheme.
Stone, a wide lower basin with central fountain which has 2 tiers of basins carried on balusters.
Significant as the focal point of the formal garden at Bodrhyddan.
