History

Late C18. This road was under the management of the Aberystwyth Turnpike Trust, which was set up in 1770.

Exterior

Roughly shaped milestone set in hedge-bank. Smooth face with seraphed lettering reading: "To Cardigan 23 miles". Bench-mark below inscription. Stone thicker at the base.
