Situated opposite Carno church. The stone is set into the boundary wall of Llys-ywen.

Description: Roughly-hewn stone c1.4m high with traces of white paint, and black paint highlighting the letters. Engraved:
NEWT 11
MACH 17.

Reasons for Listing

One of a series of 4 late C18 milestones along the former Newtown to Machynlleth Turnpike in Carno.
