History

The road from Llandeilo to Llannon was part of the Three Commotts Turnpike Trust system established in the late C18.

Exterior

Late C18 milestone of limestone bearing the lettering: "Llandilo / 10 Miles / Llanelly / 7 1/2 Miles". The stone is about 500mm high by about 350mm wide, and about 150mm in thickness. The top is roughly rounded.
