History

One of a series of milestones set up after the establishment of the turnpike road in the 1820s.

Exterior

Early to mid-C19 milestone relating to the turnpike road first established in the 1820s. Slate-stone with simple chamfered top edge. Inscribed "MLS." to top right corner with below "CARNARVON 4/ BEDDGELERT 9".
