History

Late C18, contemporary with the partial rebuilding of the adjacent church in 1778.

Exterior

Rubble stone archway with slate covered pitched roof over.

Interior

The wall heads are corbelled inward to support the roof which has a a single pair of rough chamfered purlins.

Hung within the lychgate are a pair of modern timber and ironwork gates.

Included for group value with the church of St Sannan and as a simple lychgate with vernacular character.
