History

Early C19 terraced house, half of a four-bay pair of three-storey houses with No 3, each of two bays.

Exterior

Terraced house paired with No 3, painted stucco with plain raised parapet and slate roof. Three storeys and basement, 2-window range with 16-pane sash windows to upper floors, ground floor doorway to left, paired with door to No 3, with panelled door, panelled reveals and plain overlight in timber doorcase with pilasters and cornice. Ground floor has 2 large 12-pane sashes aligned with windows above and 8-pane narrow sash, probably inserted, between. Low cellar vents below.
Rear has C20 2-storey oriel over basement window, and with pair of C20 16-pane sashes above.

Reasons for Listing

Included as a good late Georgian terraced town house with surviving doorcase.
