History

An C18 storage barn, adapted for livestock.

Exterior

A barn in local handmade brick, on a stone plinth, with six lozenge shaped air vents at front (south) and four above and three below at rear; two similar vents above and below in the gable ends. Slate roof with tile ridge, the west bay restored. Later sheds adjacent at each end.

Four doors at front and one door plus one window at rear, with brick arches. Four high level hatches at rear.

Interior

Six bays with box-framed cross framing.

Reasons for Listing

A fine barn providing an extensive example of the use of a fine local red brick, listed also for group value with Domen Gastell farmhouse.
