A mid C19 milestone shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey.

Exterior

A freestone mile marker with rounded top, painted white with black inscribed letters reading: 'Rhayader 1½ Mile.' and 'Penybont 8.' Beneath the inscription is an OS datum.
