History

Probably early C19.

Exterior

Long bank of limekilns. Red-brown stone. Arranged in alternating pairs of round-arched kilns and camber-headed smaller chambers. The bank of kilns is very overgrown but appears to consist of (from E end) two round-headed chambers, two camber-headed chambers; two round-headed chambers, two camber-headed chambers; another two round-headed chambers, a smaller opening; then after a very overgrown section, two more round-headed chambers near the W end.
