History

A service building, which probably included a bakehouse and washhouse. The surviving timber-framing suggests a C17-18 date, but it was probably remodelled in the late C18-early C19. Shown on the Tithe map of 1839.

Exterior

Range of one-and-a-half storeys. The E front is box-panelled with brick nogging, the W side is of red brick, and the S gable end is of coursed stone blocks; slate roof; external brick stack to N gable end. The E side has a doorway offset to R, the door missing, and a small casement window to L with segmental brick head. W side, partly seen, has a doorway to R end and small window openings with segmental brick heads to L, centre and R. Attic has small openings to centre and R, immediately under the eaves.

Interior

Interior not inspected.
