Pair of houses in row. C16 or C17 fabric with rebuilt C18
front. Flemish bond brickwork, timber-framing, tile roof,
brick stack. The parapeted rebuilt front covers an early roof,
with a dip in the ridge-line to the right. The main central
stack is behind the ridge. No.77 has a gabled brick rear wing.
2 storeys and attic, 1+1-windowed. No.77 has a gabled dormer
with a 2-light small-pane casement, above tripartite
4:12:4-pane sashes. No.78 has no dormer, and paired 8-pane
sashes to a central mullion box, all these to splayed V-joint
lintels. To right and left are C20 panelled doors. In Summers
Court, to the left (under No.76, qv), the heavy framework of
the main structure is visible. INTERIOR not inspected.
