1875. A range of almshouses in 3 blocks set around 3 sides of a grassed forecourt.
Gothic style. Red brick with stone dressings; single-storeyed except for centre
of middle block which is of 2 storeys. Each has a 2-light mullioned window
with pointed arched head. Centre of outer blocks has slight projection with
gable and doorway in stone keyed surround and the sides have linked recessed
doorways, all with wood porches. 2-storeyed middle portion of centre block
is featured with 4-light stone mllioned canted oriel and, to right, a pinnacled
tower with 2-light foil-headed opening. Corbelled brick eaves; slates.
